Day 7 – “Maroon” A little bit of etymology for you about maroon. It comes from the French word marron which means chestnut. When you look at a chestnut it really resembles the color. What’s interesting is the word for the color maroon in French is actually grenat.
I really like this color. It’s one of my favorite colors to wear. Very fall-sy. I attempted a different hand by Adam Zagajewski that I found inspiration from in my Bound & Lettered magazine (Vol. 14, number 2) with pencil and colored pencil
Have a great day!
